Love it
I love learning about the history of the ancient near east, Bible patterns and themes, and just theology in general. Carey covers interesting topics in depth, and clear to understand. Definitely appreciate her sharing her knowledge, lessons and information I try to pass down to my two teenage boys as well.

Love it
I listen to many podcasts, I love learning about the historical context surrounding the ancient near east, theology, and understanding the themes and patterns used when the bible was written. Carey covers all of these areas and clearly explains how she got there. I especially appreciate that she provides the transcripts because there's so much to learn and take in, it's nice to be able to go back and pick up notes and the scriptures she's referring to and take time to process it and read for yourself. Appreciate Carey and her guests on the show helping us dig deeper into scripture and taking their time to teach us. I pass a lot of this information onto my two teen boys to help them understand what church doesn't always cover as well.
Outstanding podcast
Carey seems to know the text and the background do well and she explains things so thoroughly, answering my mental questions. She is humble, but also speaks with authority in that I can tell she has done her homework. I always learn something new from her. I am grateful for her.

Excellent Biblical Theology
This podcast is excellent. The host knows her stuff, does deep research, and knows how to present with clarity. She has an excellent grasp of Biblical Theology, and reads relevant content widely across a variety of sources and traditions.
She is no-nonsense and charitable, and she knows when to dive into detail when helpful. She also knows how to keep from overloading listeners with an avalanche of data - only going there when it is truly warranted and actually fosters better understanding.

Marvelously deep & insightful
Love having my mind stretched, my understanding and knowledge expanded, and my faith increased with Biblical foundation, historical context and sound reasoning. Highly recommend this podcast.

Deep dives, common sense, logical nuggets
Carey does a great job with deep biblical dives, often bringing in thoughts of biblical scholars, along with her own thoughts and leanings. She’s not shy to say which interpretations make more sense to her, and she always explains why without bombarding the listener with academic prose. I find her explanations satisfying and helpful. She adds short logical principle asides which add value. And all this is done with sharp thinking accompanied by a gracious spirit—a rare find. I hope the podcast continues to thrive.

Spiritual successor to Michael Heiser
Carey thanks for your excellent work in the spirit / style of Dr. Michael S. Heiser. It’s fantastic to have all the body of work he catalogued over the years, but really cool to see another student like you picking up the torch. It’s exactly the way to honor his life. Loved hearing your testimony of faith and excited about continuing the journey in scripture with you!

Talking to fast
Hey! I got turned onto your podcast by someone and I love it so far, the only thing I would say is you are talking way too fast. It’s hard to process what you just said when you are talking so fast. By the time I digest something you are quickly moved onto something else. Keep up the good work though!
